SANDY, Ore. -- The roof of a house collapsed after an early-morning house fire Monday near Sandy.Flames broke out inside a home on Southeast Firwood Road at about 4 a.m.Firefighters said the fire destroyed the majority of the home. They had to quickly take a defensive attack because the flames were so dangerous.A water tender shuttle was used to supply water because there was no hydrant in the area.A neighbor said a couple lives at the home, but firefighters didn’t find anyone inside the house.There was significant damage to the home and investigators said it could take time to determine the fire’s cause. There were no indications of arson Monday morning, officials said.
