PORTLAND, Ore. -- An overturned trailer blocked all three lanes of Interstate 5 southbound in the Portland area on Saturday.

The wreck has since been cleared and the freeway reopened, but I-5 was shut down just past the Terwilliger exit in the morning.

Oregon Department of Transportation officials asked drivers to avoid the area until the wreck could be safely removed from the freeway. To avoid the area, drivers took Highway 99W to Capitol Highway back to I-5 Southbound.
