Police said Hart laid down cash for a sex act during a prostitution sting in Lincoln City last weekend.

Lincoln City police set up the sting after they saw Craigslist.org advertisements for prostitution in the Oregon Coast town.

Hart was the first customer to show up during the sting. He did not want to speak on camera because, he said, "This is embarrassing."

Hart is married with two teenage sons. His family runs the OrePac foundation, which donates money to Doernbecher Children's Hospital and other charities.

Neighbor David Benedict said Hart is well-respected in the community.

"Well, I would say the entire neighborhood knows the Hart family," Benedict said. "They're prominent folks here."

Several different agencies from the Lincoln City area took part in the prostitution sting.

Hart was taken into custody on misdemeanor prostitution charges.
