PORTLAND, Ore. -- A large party in a warehouse district of northeast Portland turned into a brawl early Sunday morning.

Police said there were about 100 people at the party near Northeast 122nd Avenue and Whitaker Way. At around 1 a.m., a large fight spilled into the streets.

Police attempted to break up the fight, but a number of people became extremely hostile.

With so many people involved, every available Portland officer was dispatched to the scene. About 70 officers were at the scene when they called for more back-up. It's unknown how many officers responded overall.

Seven people were arrested and the officers were able to clear the area.

Police said they don't know what led to the big brawl.
