MT. ANGEL, Ore. -- Police arrested a teacher at John F. Kennedy High School on Tuesday on charges of sex abuse and official misconduct.

Colby Molan teaches health and physical education at the school in Mt. Angel, which is near Woodburn.

Police said Molan had a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old at the high school several times. He's also accused of making sexual contact with a 14-year-old student.

After police started an investigation in the case, the school put him on administrative leave.

Molan is a former Salem police officer, but he resigned in 2005 prior to completing his training.

He has been booked into the Marion County Jail.
