UPDATED: 5:09 pm PDT May 21, 2008

Police arrested a man who ran through a car dealership carrying a gun while trying to catch a man who had stolen his drugs, officers said.

Several witnesses called 911 when Clay Andrew Pierce, 48, came running through the Tri-City Mobile Toyota dealership yelling at bystanders to stop the man with the black backpack at about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Pierce was chasing the man because he had stolen a bag of drugs and run away from Pierce's trailer, police said.

Pierce jumped in his car and chased the man into the Toyota dealership brandishing a gun causing people to scatter and duck for cover, police said.

When he couldn't find the man, Pierce returned home to his trailer where police found him, officers said.

After agreeing to let officers search his home, Pierce was arrested and police said they seized the gun and drugs.

Investigators are still looking for the man who ran from the house, police said.
