Police arrested a man early Thursday who was subsequently charged with robbing two businesses in a week.

Christopher Easley, 28, was arrested in his home at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday and charged with two robberies that occurred within five days of each other in the same business center, police said.

Easley was placed in custody at the Clackamas County Jail on two counts of second-degree robbery.

Both robberies were in a business complex just a block from Easley's home.

The first robbery was on May 13 at 8 p.m. at the Healthy Looks Salon located at 19273 Molalla Avenue Unit B.

The second robbery occurred five days later at the Dotty's Deli Unit D in the same business complex.

In both robberies, Easley presented a note to the employee and said he had a weapon, but no weapon was ever seen, police said.

Oregon City Detectives served a search warrant at Easley's residence and located evidence of both crimes, but didn't locate a weapon.
