Portland police are asking for help identifying a burglar who smashed through the front door of a liquor store and stole several bottles of Jack Daniels earlier this month.

Police said the man broke into the Stateline Liquor Store on North Jantzen Avenue at 3:25 a.m. on May 14. He showed up at the store in a vehicle and brought his own yard debris can to carry off the stolen goods.

In addition to several bottles of Jack Daniels, the man also stole cigarettes, police said.

The man is described as white, in his mid to late 20s with dark hair, goatee and a mustache.

He wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark tennis shoes during the burglary. He also drove off in a late 1990s Chevrolet full-size standard cab pickup with a canopy.

A surveillance camera captured photos and video of the burglar, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 503-823-4357.
