CORVALLIS, Ore. -- A wildlife center took in seven fox cubs, also called kits, after their parents were killed for eating a farmer's chickens.Officials at the Chintimini Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Corvallis said that a farmer in Lebanon was losing two to three chickens a day to foxes so he had the U.S. Department of Agriculture come in, trap them and kill them.Later the farmer discovered that there were several fox dens on the property containing kits that were the babies of the killed foxes. The Wildlife Center said during this time of year there are a lot of babies being born to wild animals, and they will work with people to help make sure that the animals will not cause a problem while raising their young.
The kits will be put out in the wild once they are old enough.View Photos Of The Kits
