VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A coffee house said they've gotten a hold of some of the world's finest coffee and it's expected to go fast in spite of a price tag of about $15.Wednesday River Maiden Artisan Coffee in Vancouver started selling the Panama Esmeralda Especial Reserva for $13.85 per cup plus tax.The shop even took prepaid deposits so coffee fanatics could reserve a cup ahead of time.A group of men told FOX 12 what they thought when they got to taste the "black gold."
"If this were a little fatter," Todd Boyd said holding up his wallet. "I would gladly pay $15 for a cup.""I was kinda curious when they were advertising it, what does a $15 cup of coffee actually taste like? And you can taste the difference, but it's not something I would like to drink every day," Jacob Swenson said.Stumptown Coffee Roasters got a hold of just 50 pounds of the stuff, so sampling the coffee is going to be a rare experience in our area.
