KALAMA, Wash. -- A second body was found Tuesday in Cowlitz County although police said it appears the two cases are unrelated.

An anonymous person called at about 2 p.m. and reported that a body was located off of Dupont Road, just south of Kalama, deputies said.

Sheriff's deputies said they have no reason to believe the second body was related to the other body that was located earlier in the day on Powell Road.

The unidentified body appeared as though it had been there for more than a few weeks, deputies said.

Deputies said the cause and manner of death weren't known.

The area was secured and detectives planned to begin processing the scene Wednesday.

Detectives said they would like the person who called in the tip about the body to call them back and provide more information.
