WASHOUGAL, Wash. -- A Washougal family said a neighbor stabbed their goat to death Tuesday after it wandered into their yard.Kelly Economides said her goats may have eaten some of her neighbor's expensive shrubbery, but she said stabbing the goat, named Willow, was an extreme measure."I mean, honestly, it's a little frightening," she said. "I don't know what they're capable of."Economides said it happened Tuesday morning when her group of goats wandered into her neighbor's yard. She said it's not the first time the animals had crossed over the fence. In fact, her sons and sister have often shooed the goats back over to their side.On Tuesday, the family found a neighbor on top of the goat, Economides said.Lindsay Walsh-Prangle, Economides' sister, said there was a blood-covered knife on the ground next to him."I want to call it a Michael Myers knife," she said, referring to the homicidal main character from the "Halloween" movie series. "It was very large."The family said they were too shocked to ask any questions and they called the Skamania County Sheriff's Office instead."It's very disturbing," Economides said. "I just don't understand how a human being, a person, could do that to an animal."The neighbor in question either wasn't home or did not answer the door Wednesday night. A woman who answered the phone at the home refused to comment.Deputies said they're investigating the case and no arrests have been made.
