Pontoon Plane Flips On Columbia River

A pontoon plane trying to land on the Columbia River crashed and flipped over Friday evening.

Columbia River Fire & Rescue officials said the plane crashed near Rainier at about 5:30 p.m.

The pilot, the only person on the plane, wasn't injured. He was able to get to safety with the help of some nearby boaters.

The plane was taken to the city docks.

The identity of the pilot is unknown.
