CAMAS, Wash. -- Police arrested two men and two boys who were later charged with burglary and theft related to three break-ins on Pacific Rim Drive early Monday, officers said.Four teenagers went on a crime spree in the 3200 block at about 3 a.m., breaking into at least three homes and stealing a variety of things from homeowners, Camas police said. One of the alleged victims said she was relieved that an officer was at the right place at the right time.Camas police said one of their officers was patrolling the neighborhood when he saw four people stealing from an open garage.
The group saw the officer, jumped in a car and took off, police said. After attempting to chase the car, the officer lost them, police said. But soon after, police found the car crashed into some bushes nearby and were able to catch up with the four teens, officers said.Police said they think the two 18-year-old men and two boys were driving around looking for homes to break into in the neighborhood and found at least three. They stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff in the three burglaries, police said. One alleged victim said she was probably targeted because her son left the garage door open Monday night.Thieves took golf clubs, hockey equipment and even food from her freezer. She said even though the four were caught, her family is still on edge."It's a little unnerving. You're dead asleep and then have someone pounding on your door finding out that someone had gone into your home taking items out of there. It was a little disconcerting," an alleged victim said. All four of the teens were charged with residential burglary and theft.
