WOODLAND, Wash. -- A judge has set bail at $75,000 for a firefighter accused of raping a 15-year-old girl.Jared Hargrave resigned from Cowlitz County Fire District 5 and was suspended by the Woodland Fire Department after the allegations surfaced.According to court documents, a 15-year-old girl called police and said she had been raped. She told investigators that Hargrave woke her up in the middle of the night and forcibly raped her in her own bed.Woodland residents said they're outraged and they fear it's not the first time the abuse has happened."Someone like that who is in a powerful position, I think it would be even easier for them to get away with it and cover it up," said Kathleen Boggs, who lives in Woodland. "It's sad. I feel bad for the victim."Court records said Hargrave wasn't working as a firefighter at the time of the alleged incident. He's due back in court July 23.
