Police Still Searching For Man

An angry man cracked a window on a TriMet bus in Portland Thursday at Southeast 39th and Hawthorne.

A bus driver said a bicyclist tried to board the bus in the middle of an intersection, crossing four lanes of moving traffic in the attempt.

The cyclist got mad when the driver made him board at a sidewalk, the driver said.

That's when, the driver said, the bicyclist hit a window with his fist and caused it to crack.

The cyclist took off before police could arrive.

Another bicyclist said cyclists usually get along with bus drivers.

"I think they get along really well, and I think they have a nice symbiotic relationship," bicyclist Bradford Trojan said.

The confrontation comes following several recent run-ins between bicyclists and drivers.
