VANCOUVER, Wash. -- A woman who hinted she had a gun robbed a Vancouver tanning salon Friday.Police said a woman entered the Electric Beach Tanning Salon on East Mill Plain Boulevard at around 1:30 p.m.Officers said the woman drove into the parking lot in a white Ford pickup truck and posed as a customer as she walked into the salon.Surveillance cameras from a nearby business caught the woman returning to her truck before going back into the store. Police said that's when she hinted she had a gun and demanded money.
The woman took off in her truck with an undisclosed amount of cash.Martial arts instructor Scott Browning, who works nearby, said he's concerned about the robbery."The idea of someone running around in our parking lot in our community with a gun is a little uncomfortable," Browning said.She is described as white with brown, curly hair. She's around 30 years and is 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a heavy build. During the robbery, she wore sunglasses, a green shirt and blue capri-style jeans.She drove off in a 1990s or early 2000 model Ford Ranger pickup truck with a black toolbox behind the cab.Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call police.
