PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Battle Ground woman said her 8-year-old daughter was exposed to violent images and sexually explicit lyrics at a girls rock 'n roll camp last week. The woman, who spoke on camera but didn't want to be identified, said she wanted to warn other parents about the content inside the welcome packet at the Rock 'N Roll Camp For Girls, based in northeast PortlandShe said graphic images on a CD cover pictured people "having their heads pulled back and their throats slit open."The girl's mother said the images bothered her, but the lyrics inside the cassette tape were worse. A sample read: "Hate blacks and beat your ------- wife.""Things like racial slurs that I can't repeat, very sexually explicit lyrics," she said. She said her daughter told her that children at the camp were handed books with profanities and told to "ignore the parts that made them uncomfortable."The executive director of the Rock N' Roll Camp For Girls issued a response to the concerned mother:

"We're looking into this matter and are taking it very seriously. We would love for the family to contact us so we can address the concerns."The director said they did not want to address the content of the cassette and CD until speaking with the family.Meanwhile, the Battle Ground mother says she will not allow her daughter to see the images or hear the lyrics."We would not let her see that after we saw what was on it," she said.
