Craigslist Sex Meeting Ends In Arrests, Deputies Say

Witness Says She Saw 'Bound Naked Woman'

A sexual meeting arranged on Craigslist ended in the arrest of two people on public indecency charges Wednesday, deputies said.

David Leatham and Kristie Gitnes used Craigslist to set up a bondage encounter in the woods of Clackamas, authorities said.

A homeless woman looking for a place to pitch a tent in an area west of Southeast 82nd Avenue saw Leatham and Gitnes in the woods, deputies said. She alerted police and told them she saw a "bound naked woman being sexually assaulted," deputies said.

When deputies arrived, Leatham and Gitnes ran off, authorities said. Based on the information from the witness, deputies thought they were looking for suspects in a rape and they used a K-9 to track down the pair.

Gitnes, 46, and Leatham, 47, were fully clothed when they were taken into custody, authorities said.

Deputies said Leatham told them he ran away because of concerns about his marital status.

The pair were arrested on charges of public indecency, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
