HILLSBORO, Ore. -- A woman inadvertently drove her car into a Hillsboro bank Thursday.Police said the 70-year-old woman had been using the drive-through at a Wells Fargo branch on 185th Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. Witnesses said they saw the woman hit two cars and then put the car into reverse.She backed up and drove right into the bank, police said.Lisa Bice, who witnessed the crash, said her first instinct was that the bank was being robbed.
"At first I thought it was a bank robber, and then I see the older lady and I thought, 'Naw, she wasn't no bank robber,'" Bice said.The driver wasn't seriously injured, but she went to the hospital to be checked out.The crash only slightly damaged the bank.On Thursday, police said they were still investigating the crash, which happened at 6:30 p.m.
