Charity Run To Benefit Gearhart Crash Victims

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A community gathering and two mile run-walk will be held next week to support the Reimann family, victims of this month's Gearhart plane crash.Ruth Reimann, her three children -- Julia, Sarah and Christopher -- and their two cousins were all inside a Gearhart vacation home when a single-engine plane crashed into it earlier this month.Julia Reimann, her two cousins and two people in the plane were all killed in the crash.Ruth Reimann and her two other children were able to escape the home. They were hospitalized, but they're expected to recover.The Run For The Reimanns will be held Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Duniway Park track.Donations can be made to the Reimann family fund at the event. You can also donate at any Wells Fargo branch.Those attending the run-walk and gathering are asked to wear red.The Run for the Reimanns is organized by friends of the Reimann family and Girls on the Run: Portland Metro.
