HILLSBORO, Ore. -- Police arrested a man who they said stole two mp3 players from a Target store and used a stun gun on a security guard Wednesday.Hillsboro police arrested Kevin Jensen, 47, of Hillsboro, on charges of robbery, assault, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon Thursday morning after they said he used a stun gun while fleeing from a Target store.Police said Jensen walked into the store, hid two mp3 players in his pockets and then walked out. When a security guard confronted him in the parking lot, he pulled out a stun gun, police said.
Jensen shoved the stun gun into the woman's arm, delivering a jolt strong enough to knock her to the ground, officers said.Police said the man drove away from the Northwest Evergreen Parkway store in a van. No one else was hurt in the attack, which took place at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.Shoppers at the Target store Wednesday night said they were left with an uneasy feeling about the incident."You never know what's going to happen," said shopper Lori Sloane. "You should always be on the lookout. I know I will be."Police located Jensen based on a witness' description of his mid-1990s blue van and a partial license plate number.Officers said they found the van at Jensen's home at 19000 Northwest Evergreen Parkway in Hillsboro and arrested Jensen, who was then lodged in the Washington County Jail. The weapon used in the attack was found at Jensen's home and a witness identified him, police said.
