Authorities are looking for two people who invaded a man's apartment while they posed as police officers.

A Beaverton detective said the couple handcuffed Justus Akwenuke, 47, and hit him with a club and a Taser after entering the Center Street apartment. Police also said the couple pepper sprayed Akwenuke.

A woman who also lives at the apartment was awakened by the commotion. She was then taken away by the man and woman to Portland before being released unharmed in Beaverton, authorities said.

Officers said they don't believe the attack was a random act. The victims didn't suffer any serious injuries.

Police aren't sure of the identities of the two people who posed as police officers. The man and woman took a cell phone and may have taken drugs from the apartment, police said.

The man was described as white, about 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds with short dark brown hair, police said.

The female burglar was described as a white woman, about 30 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 190 to 200 pounds.
