UPDATED: 6:18 pm PDT August 28, 2008

Police are looking for a man who used a note to rob a bank in Vancouver Thursday.

Police said they responded to First Independent Bank at 1220 Main St. a little before noon Thursday to learn that a man entered the bank, gave a note to a teller and walked out with money.

Vancouver police said no weapon was seen or implied in the robbery.

The man was described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall with a stocky build and was wearing a khaki short-sleeved button-up shirt, black knee-length shorts and white tennis shoes.

Witnesses also said the robber has a "fat head" with small eyes that appear slanted, a full mustache over thin lips and short dark hair with a hairline that forms the shape of the letter "M."

Police said the same man is responsible for a recent robbery in the Vancouver area, should be considered dangerous and shouldn't be approached.

Officers responded to the area and searched for the man with a K-9 unit but he wasn't found.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Detective Lawrence Zapata at 360-487-7420 or Detective Wally Stefan at 360-487-7425.
