The FBI is asking for help finding a bank robber whom it named the "mullet man."

Officials linked the man to five possible incidents at banks in a three-day span.

They said the man robbed a Fred Meyer employee credit union on Southeast 120th and Morrison Street in Portland on Wednesday. He also tried to rob a Bank of America in Vancouver and possibly an IBEW credit union in southeast Portland, according to the FBI.

In addition, officials said the man robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Tualatin on Monday and also attempted a robbery at a Key Bank in northeast Portland.

In several of the incidents, the FBI said the man wore a long-haired wig.

Witnesses described him as white, in his mid-40s, slender, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds.

In some of the robberies and attempts, he wore a blue Nike baseball cap.

Anyone with information on his identity is asked to call 503-224-4181.
