UPDATED: 3:48 pm PST November 6, 2008

Police arrested a Portland man Sunday after they said a high-speed crash killed a 26-year-old woman and left three others injured.

Officers said 22-year-old Fernando Deanda Moreno ran a stop sign on AV Davis Road and slammed his SUV into a Toyota Camry at Linn Avenue at 9:37 p.m. Saturday.

The SUV came to rest on its side on Ethel Street and the Camry was pushed into a telephone pole, police said.

After emergency crews arrived, they pronounced 26-year-old Kay Blaser dead at the scene. Blaser was a passenger in the Camry, according to police.

Initially, officers said Blaser had been two months pregnant at the time of the wreck. However, the Medical Examiner's Office said Monday that Blaser was not pregnant.

Her fiancé, William Sargent, was severely injured in the crash and was rushed to Oregon Health & Science University to be treated for injuries to his collar bone, neck and back.

Deanda Moreno and a passenger in his car were also hurt.

After Deanda Moreno was released from the hospital Sunday, police arrested him on charges of manslaughter and assault.

Officers said Deanda Moreno was drunk at the time of the crash. He's being held at the Clackamas County Jail.

A fundraiser is being held Nov. 6 at Jimmy O's Pizzeria in Oregon City between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with 30 percent of all proceeds going to Kay Blaser's family.

Memorial T-shirts will also be sold at Jimmy O's with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Blaser's family.
