PORTLAND, Ore. -- A transgender man who gave birth to a baby girl is pregnant again, according to an ABC News report.

Thomas Beatie, who lives in Bend, revealed in an exclusive interview with Barbara Walters that he is pregnant with his second child, the report said.

He had his first child in Bend in June 2008.

Beatie first appeared in The Advocate magazine, in which he wrote an article describing the pregnancy.

Prior to becoming pregnant, Beatie went through a sex change, but decided only to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy. He was able to keep the reproductive organs with which he was born.

Beatie's interview with Walters is his first media appearance since the birth of his first child.

His second child is due June 12, 2009, according to ABC.
