A bank was robbed Tuesday afternoon by a man wearing a ski mask, police said.

The robbery happened just before 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when a man walked into a Bank of America at the corner of Saltzman and Cornell, showed a weapon and got away with an undisclosed amount of money that may have been as much as $20,000.

Police said they think the robber got away in a four-door silver sedan.

There were several witnesses but none of them saw him get into the car, they only saw it speed away from the scene, police said.

The robber was described as a white man about 6 feet tall, 20 to 30 years old with an average build and was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a ski mask.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
