Police: Man May Be Linked To OSU Burglaries

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- State police are asking for help in finding a person of interest in a burglary investigation at Oregon State University.Police said Jacob Butler, 27, has warrants out for his arrest in Linn County on charges of probation violation and failure to register as a sex offender.He also may be linked to attempted burglaries at OSU residence halls and facilities, police said.Butler may be posing as a tattoo artist to gain the trust of anyone he contacts, according to state police.He is described as white, 6 feet 1 inches tall and 320 pounds. He has brown hair, blue eyes, numerous tattoos and carries a cane.Anyone with information on Butler's location is asked to call 541-737-3010.
