Report: Murder Victim Planned To Testify In Drug Trial

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man found shot to death along the Columbia River last week was expected to testify in an upcoming drug trial, according to a report in the Longview Daily News.A fisherman found the body of 26-year-old Jeremy McLean last week. He was set to testify against 51-year-old William Reagan in a trial, who was arrested Saturday at a Portland motel.Portland police officers took Reagan and Gatti into custody on charges of violating release conditions from a previous narcotics charge. Authorities said hair dye, fake IDs, new cell phones and thousands in cash were found.Cowlitz County authorities said Reagan is a "person of interest" in the slaying of McLean.
Cowlitz County deputies said they're still limiting specific details about McLean's death. They said the date and time of his death is pending.
