Two Oregon school districts have shut down due to probable cases of H1N1 flu, school administrators said.

The Forest Grove School District will be closed Monday and Tuesday after one probable case was reported at Cornelius Elementary School. The elementary school will be closed throughout the week.

District administrators said a student came down with a probable case of the virus on Friday. They said the student is recovering at home and didn't need to be hospitalized.

All Forest Grove sports and other school activities have been canceled for Monday and Tuesday. District administrators will decide Tuesday whether the schools will reopen.

H1N1 flu concerns also led the Central School District to close all of its schools for the next five days.

Health administrators suspect there are cases of the flu at other schools in the district.

School officials said "a number of probable cases of swine flu" led the district to cancel all classes and activities from May 4-8. The closure is for all Central School District schools: Central High, Talmadge Middle, Ash Creek Elementary, Henry Hill Elementary, Independence Elementary, Monmouth Elementary, and Poyama Day Treatment Center.

Students at both schools have been asked not to congregate on school playgrounds.

Western Oregon University remained closed Monday but school officials said it would reopen Tuesday.
