PORTLAND, Ore. -- A fight between two transients resulted in a stabbing Wednesday night in the Old Town area of downtown Portland. The stabbing occurred near First Avenue and Burnside Street. Police have released few details about the incident, but they said the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Investigators said it's unclear what weapon was used to injure the man. They said it's possible that the wanted man had been wearing a ring.Witnesses said the victim appeared to have a gash on his face under his ear. He appeared to be conscious despite a large amount of bleeding."He seemed to be pretty calm," said witness Travis Chisholm. "He had his hand over his face so I couldn't actually see the wound, but it looked like a pretty sizable gash because I could see the blood coming out of the bottom."The man wanted in connection with the fight remained at large Wednesday. Anyone with information is asked to call Portland police.
