Theft Victim Dragged 100 Feet By Car

TOLEDO, Ore. -- A woman who didn't want to let a thief get away with her purse was dragged about 100 feet by the man's car Saturday afternoon, deputies said.Lincoln County deputies said Travis Elias, 19, tried to grab the woman's purse in the parking lot of JC Market in Toledo at about 4:45 p.m., but the woman wouldn't let go.She was dragged 100 feet through the market's parking lot and then fell into the middle of Highway 20 as Elias drove away, deputies said.The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries and Elias was later arrested on several charges including robbery, assault, kidnapping and hit-and-run.His bail was set at $815,000.
