BEAVERTON, Ore. -- A local woman who runs a single moms group on the Web site Meetup said Wednesday that she was in contact with the woman accused of killing her pregnant friend last week.

Korena Roberts is in jail, charged with the murder of 21-year-old Heather Snively.

Police said they found Snively's body in a crawlspace of Roberts' home after her unborn baby boy had been cut out of her womb. The baby did not survive.

Diane Cabrera started the Sassy Single Mom group on the social networking Web site Meetup.

She said about two weeks ago Roberts joined under the name Korena Shubin and was trying to get involved with other moms.

Meetup is a Web site designed to help people find those with similar interests in their community and meet up in the real world.

According to the site, "Meetup makes it easy for anyone to organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face."

Cabrera said Roberts' page indicated that she was also a member of a group for parents of twins or multiples and someone from that group posted a note wishing her a good and safe delivery.

Cabrera said her group was planning a pot luck and Roberts emailed her on Friday with a suggestion for a location. That's the same day Snively was murdered.

Cabrera said when she realized that Roberts was the woman in her Meetup group, she was terrified thinking about what could've happened.

"This was a group of single mothers with small kids, most of us have small kids. So in my head I was thinking, 'What if she did go to the potluck and she tried to kidnap one of the babies?' That would be horrible," Cabrera said.

Detectives said the investigation into Snively's killing is continuing and Roberts' boyfriend has been cleared of any connection with the crime.

They said they've found that he has a solid alibi and he was not involved in Sniveley's death or the removal of her unborn child.
