How To Get To The Helvetia Half Marathon

POSTED: 7:57 pm PDT June 11, 2009

The Oregon Department of Transportation will be closing the Shute Road overpass at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The best way to get to the marathon staging area from Portland will be to take Cornelius Pass Road South and then a right turn onto Evergreen Road to Northwest 229th Avenue where the stadium is located.

Participants can also take the 185th exit off Highway 26 and go westbound on Evergreen Road to avoid any backup at the Cornelius Pass exit.

For those coming from the west, the best approach is to take Jackson School Road South to Evergreen Road and make a left turn and head eastbound on Evergreen Road to 229th Avenue until you reach the Hillsboro Stadium.

There will be plenty of police in the area of the stadium to assist with traffic issues and directions for participants.

The address of the Hillsboro Stadium is 4450 NW 229th Ave., Hillsboro, OR.
