JEFFERSON, Ore. -- Burglars rummaged through a home in the rural town of Jefferson on Tuesday and made off with everything from a set of gold teeth to a rare collection of Legos.Cherryl Pardoel said the thieves kicked in her family's front door and went room to room, stealing more than $5,000 worth of items from their house near Albany. She said their birth certificates and Social Security cards were among the missing items."Anything that they could take right now is gone," Pardoel said. "… I walked in and I started losing it because the stuff is gone. Stuff that people have no use for other than me."Electronics, collectors coins, loaded guns and irreplaceable jewelry were also taken in the burglary."There were four generations of jewelry on both of my sides -- both my dad's side and my mom's side," Pardoel said.Pardoel's son, Justin, said he also suffered a big loss when he found nothing but empty boxes of his antique Legos collection. He estimates their value at $900."I was mad -- why would you steal my Legos?" Justin Pardoel said. "There better be a 10-year-old kid who is really happy right now. It's the only valuable thing I have and now they're gone."The last straw for the family: The burglars also stole their matriarch's gold teeth that were sitting inside a nightstand."They took my great grandmother's gold teeth," Justin Pardoel said. "I don't know how much those are worth … but I have nothing left to remember her by, so it's very upsetting."Marion County sheriff's deputies said they don't have a suspect description in the burglary. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office.
