A Salem police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package at a Bank of America in Woodburn.

An employee of the Bank of America at 110 S Pacific Highway called police to alert them of the package outside one of their doors at about 9:50 a.m.

Salem bomb squad members used a robot to investigate the package and determined that it was a box of cleaning supplies.

According to Oregon Department of Transportation officials, the police investigation closed 99E south of the intersection where it meets Highway 214 for about two hours while police investigated.

One local bank teller said bank employees in the area have a heightened awareness ever since the deadly bank bombing in December.

"From what happened a couple months back we're still being very cautious of our surroundings," a bank teller named Karen said.
