PORTLAND, Ore. -- A man accused of assaulting a teenage girl after he followed her home from a TriMet bus was arrested Monday night, deputies said.Rodolfo Claudio-Marquez, 23, began flirting with the 17-year-old girl while they were riding the No. 67 bus toward PCC Rock Creek at about 7 p.m., said Sgt. David Thompson in a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release. The girl tried to ignore Claudio-Marquez, deputies said, but he then followed her off the bus when she stepped off at Springville Road and 173rd Avenue. The girl began walking into a neighborhood toward her house and she told Claudio-Marquez to leave her alone, but he refused and offered to buy her alcohol, according to the sheriff's office.Deputies said the victim arrived at her house and Claudio-Marquez grabbed her around the waist and pulled her toward him. He was pushed away as he tried to kiss the girl, but deputies said he then punched the victim in the face. The girl ran inside and said she was calling police, which led Claudio-Marquez to leave the area, deputies said. The girl and her father were able to provide the sheriff's office with a description and a location of the suspect. Claudio-Marquez was later arrested near the sports complex of the PCC campus and the victim confirmed he was the same man who had assaulted her, sheriff's deputies said.Claudio-Marquez was booked into jail on charges of assault, harassment and sex abuse.
