UPDATED: 7:40 am PDT October 20, 2009

Portland police are investigating a home invasion robbery near the intersection of Southeast 157th Avenue and Taggart Street.

Officers said multiple people barged inside a home in the area at about 8:15 p.m. Monday.

Many of the details of the robbery were kept under wraps by police Monday night, but officers said there was some sort of confrontation between the people in the home and the robbers.

Detectives said the people who invaded the home were armed with weapons when they went inside, but no one was injured in the incident.

The robbers remained at large Monday night, but police have not released a description of them. Anyone with information is asked to call the Portland Police Bureau.
