MARION, Ore. -- A woman's leg was run over after she jumped out of a car Saturday evening in Marion, deputies say.Rose Ellison, 30, was being transported to the hospital when deputies arrived at the scene at about 7:16 p.m., said Lt. Sheila Lorance of the Marion County Sheriff's Office in a news release Tuesday.Ellison's boyfriend, 39-year-old Thomas Huntington, told deputies he picked up Ellison from a party in Marion and she was very intoxicated, Lorance said.Huntington was going to take Ellison home, Lorance said, but, as he was driving, she attempted to grab the Jeep's steering wheel several times and said she was going to jump out.Huntington was driving on Duckflat Road near Pearson Road Southeast at about 20 mph, Lorance said, when Ellison opened the door and jumped out of the Jeep.Ellison's right leg was run over by the back passenger tire and she suffered other injuries. She was transported by helicopter to a Salem hospital.No criminal charges or citations were issued, Lorance said.
