Sheriff: Woman Indicted For Lebanon Teen Party

UPDATED: 6:30 pm PDT October 30, 2009

A Lebanon woman has been indicted on nine counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor related to the death of a 14-year-old who drowned in a ditch last January.

A Linn County grand jury indicted 38-year-old Adrian Renee Rodriguez on Thursday following the Jan. 18 death of Quentin Alexander Thacker.

Linn County sheriff's detectives determined the teenager had died after using marijuana and consuming alcohol at a party hosted by Rodriguez. Children who were playing hide-and-seek found Thacker's body the next day.

An autopsy determined that the Lebanon High School freshman died of "asphyxiation by drowning." His blood-alcohol level was 0.21 percent.

The charges against Rodriguez involve eight other minors besides Thacker. She remains at the Linn County Jail, where she has been in custody since Oct. 13 following an arrest on an unrelated parole violation.
