Dale Wilson: Estranged Husband's Guns Concerned Teresa Beiser

The brother of a woman killed Tuesday by her estranged husband said she was worried about violence after he bought several guns.

Police said 39-year-old Robert Beiser opened fire at a drug-testing facility in Tualatin, killing 36-year-old Teresa Beiser and injuring two others before fatally shooting himself.

Police called the shooting a "domestic violence situation."

Dale Wilson, Teresa Beiser's brother, said his sister felt threatened by Robert Beiser.

"I know she was scared and a little nervous for a while. Especially after she noticed that he purchased some guns recently. Three or four guns right after they split up. That was a clue for me. So, I told her, 'You need to be careful and make a report,'" Wilson said.

Teresa Beiser alerted police and got a no-contact order.

Wilson, a police officer in the Tri-Cities, said he heard about his sister's death Tuesday from his brother.

"I'm still numb. Sometimes, I feel like I'm in a dream and I'm hoping I can wake up and this is just all over with," Wilson said.

Robert Beiser moved out of the couple's Gladstone home about a month ago, Wilson said, and they were in the process of getting a divorce.

Wilson said the couple's children, a 14-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son, are the real victims.

"They're pretty young. They have a whole life ahead of them, but without parents. So, we need to make sure their needs are met first. Her kids were her life. That was the most important thing to her," he said.

Teresa Beiser was passionate about body-building and cycling, Wilson said. But she was victim of a common crime.

"This is real. Domestic violence is real. This happens every single day," Wilson said.

Legacy is setting up a fund to help her children.
