PORTLAND, Ore. -- One of Portland's leading developers is expected to make a full recovery after being shot in the head by robbers in Mexico last weekend.Dike Dame was fishing with a friend Saturday on a remote lake in the Mexican state of Sinaloa when robbers approached them in a boat and took their valuables at gunpoint.A bullet entered Dame's left cheek and went straight through his jaw and into his shoulder, said Chip Laizurem, Dame's fishing companion.People credited Laizure for helping Dame survive, according to a statement released Friday by Williams and Dame Development.Laizure took care of Dame in the back of a pickup truck while their guide drove to the nearest hospital, which was six hours away.Dame's business partner in Portland then arranged for an air ambulance to bring Dame back to Oregon.Dame is in stable condition as of Friday evening, according to a statement from his business partner.
