CHEHALIS, Wash. -- A homicide suspect was arrested after a Friday night chase south of Chehalis, deputies said.Robert Maddaus was sought in connection with a first-degree murder arrest warrant in Thurston County Superior Court, Lewis County deputies said.Maddaus was spotted at a home on the 2100 block of Jackson Highway and, while conducting surveillance at about 11:30 p.m., deputies said they saw a red Chevrolet Corvette leave the residence with the suspect in the passenger seat.The Lewis County Sheriff's Office said deputies stopped the car near the 1800 block of Rush Road but the driver then took off.A pursuing deputy ran the driver off the road, according to the sheriff's department, and Maddaus was arrested.Both Maddaus and the driver were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.Maddaus was booked at the Lewis County Jail and later taken to the Thurston County Jail.
