HAZEL DELL, Wash. -- Deputies are searching for a robber who held up a hotel in Hazel Dell early Thursday morning.

At about 3:30 a.m., deputies said a woman walked into the Quality Inn and Suites, located at 7001 N.E. Highway 99, armed with a handgun and stole about $180 in cash.

The robber then fled southbound on foot on Highway 99, deputies said.

The front-desk clerk wasn't injured.

Deputies searched the area with the help of a K-9 but were unsuccessful.

The sheriff's office described the robber as a black woman, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds. She was seen wearing a black jacket with black hood, royal-blue colored gloves, black pants, black tennis shoes with white trimming and white shoe laces.

She was also wearing sunglasses and had a round face, deputies said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
