Woman Arrested After Hitting Patrol Car

No One Injured In Head-On Collision In Driveway

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after hitting a patrol car on New Year's Eve, officers said.

Anne Purcell was turning in to her apartment complex on the wrong side of the driveway at when she collided head-on with the patrol car at 9:24 p.m., detectives said.

A Beaverton police officer and Washington County deputy were leaving the apartment complex, located on Southwest Celeste Lane, after responding to a noise complaint when the crash occurred.

There was minor damage to the patrol car. Purcell's 2003 VW Passat also sustained damage.

No one was injured in the crash.

Washington County deputies investigated and arrested Purcell on a charge of drunken driving.
