Deputies said 16 bullets were shot at a newly built house near Beaverton early Friday morning.

Two people were home when the shooter opened fire just after midnight, Washington County deputies said.

No one was injured.

Deputies said most of the bullets hit the upstairs master bedroom and damaged windows.

The sheriff's office said the gunshots came from an apartment complex located south of the house, which is on Southwest Bella Place.

A search for the shooter was unsuccessful.

The homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, said his house is a model home for a new development that some people oppose.

Police haven't determined a motive and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
