VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Clark County deputies said they arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of providing alcohol to a teen who was later critically injured in a crash near Camas.Investigators said Wesley Partridge, of Camas, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of supplying alcohol to a minor. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.Garrick Dahlen, 16, was at a party before he crashed his car into a telephone pole on Stauffer Road, just outside Camas, at about 4 a.m. on Feb. 27, deputies said.Emergency crews cut the teenager out of his car and flew him to Southwest Washington Medical Center, according to investigators.Jon Castino, a friend to both Dahlen and Partridge, said the suspect and victim are both friends."We were just hanging out the other day," Castino said. "He has some broken bones. We all know he's going to get better."Friends of Dahlen said he is still in serious condition but has come out of a medically induced coma. He's able to answer questions non-verbally.Dahlen's friends said Partridge shouldn't be blamed for the crash."Like I said, it's sad," Castino said. "We were just hanging out and it doesn't seem right. This situation just seems blown out of proportion.""Any mistake is a mistake that somebody can learn from," said Alyx Moon, who knows Partridge.Deputies said no further criminal charges will be filed, assuming Dahlen recovers.
