Three children suffered minor injuries when a 68-year-old driver struck them in a Vancouver crosswalk.

Leonard Leger was driving through the intersection of Southeast McGillivray Boulevard and 136th Avenue at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday when the collision occurred, Vancouver police said.

The children, ages 10 through 11, were not seriously injured. Two were riding bicycles without helmets and the third was walking with them, police said.

All three were taken to Southwest Washington Medical Center as a precaution.

Leger was not injured and alcohol was not a factor in the collision, according to the police department.

Although the driver was found to be at fault, officers said, Vancouver police did not issue a citation.
