Many venues are celebrating the release of the DVD for the first film in the "Twilight" series that is happening at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday with everything from parties to blood drives.

Here is a rundown of options to find a place to celebrate with your fellow vampire lovers as you prepare for the film's release.

Blood Drive And 'Twilight' Apparel Giveaways

All Portland and Vancouver area Walmarts will be holding special midnight giveaways to the first 50 fans in line for the DVD Friday night before the release at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Gifts will include a special Edward & Bella photo folder and viewing party elements.

Walmart is also partnering with the American Red Cross to host a mobile blood drive from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, with every donor receiving a special "Twilight" gift.

Midnight Cast Party

The Oregon cast and crew from the movie Twilight will be celebrating the DVD release at the Wood Village Walmart at 23500 N.E. Sandy Blvd, where fans will have a chance to celebrate along with locals who helped make the movie "Twilight." Along with giveaways, refreshments and autograph signings, there will be the opportunity for fans to talk to some of stars from their favorite movie from 10 p.m. to midnight.

In order to attend the cast party, fans will need to get in line between 8 and 10 p.m. This is a strict cut-off time for fans to be part of the exclusive cast party.

One item per person can be autographed by all cast.

DVD will not be available prior to 12:01 a.m., March 21.

Cast party will take place in the designated Twilight Shop within Walmart.

Refreshments and giveaways will be part of the festivities.

Blockbuster Party

Vampires are coming to Portland, and fans of the film "Twilight" will be out in full force to greet them on Friday, March 20. The Blockbuster store at 62nd and Foster -- 6144 SE Foster in Portland is hosting a midnight DVD release party tonight so avid fans of the pop culture phenomenon can be among the first to buy or rent "Twilight" on DVD starting at midnight on March 21. Admission is free and open to the public.

The event starts at 10 p.m. Friday and runs until midnight Saturday.

In addition to offering the "Twilight" DVD for rent, Blockbuster stores will have the following available for sale while supplies last:

Two-disc DVD of "Twilight" featuring excluded and deleted scenes, cast commentary, a making of documentary and music videos by Muse, Paramore and Linkin Park.

Viewpoint Inn DVD Release Party SOLD OUT!

A "Twilight" DVD Release Party at the Viewpoint Inn, where the prom scene and end of the movie were filmed, is sold out, but a special screening has been scheduled for April 11. Reservations required. Visit the View Point Inn Web site for more details.
